Cliffton Castle was in many ways my 'point of no return' model. It was when I sat back and took a cold look at the 7ft long sprawl that I realized I had stepped into a new league...
In hindsight, it is rudimentary at best (hence the decision not to feature pictures of every aspect). But at the time it opened the door to new vistas for me. From then on everything I built was going to be on a similar grandiose fig scale- no matter how small.
Inklngs of things to come can also be seen throughout. Furnished interiors, and finished exteriors were standard for the first time, skit like detail was in its infancy (spot the marauding Wolf Packs...) and certain interests were all ready being catered for.
To me it will always be a classic even though I've grown to realize it doesn't deserve that status...
